1. Purpose of This Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the Mail-Organiser service, including the Outlook add-in, web interface, APIs, and any associated services. It sets out the behaviours that are acceptable and those that are prohibited when using our service.
This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Mail-Organiser Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. Permitted Use
You are permitted to use Mail-Organiser to:
- Classify and organise emails in your own Microsoft Outlook account
- Classify and organise emails in accounts you are authorised to manage (e.g., shared team mailboxes on your plan)
- Use MO Chat to ask questions about inbox management
- View your Inbox Score and scan history
- Manage your subscription and account settings
- Share your referral code with colleagues and contacts
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1 Illegal Activities
You must not use Mail-Organiser to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including UK law and the laws of any jurisdiction in which you operate
- Process emails containing content that is illegal under UK law (e.g., child sexual abuse material, content promoting terrorism)
- Access Microsoft accounts without authorisation
- Engage in fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes
- Violate another person's intellectual property rights
3.2 Security Violations
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Mail-Organiser service, our infrastructure, or data belonging to other users
- Attempt to circumvent, bypass, or interfere with any security controls, authentication mechanisms, or access controls
- Conduct security testing, penetration testing, or vulnerability scanning of Mail-Organiser without our prior written consent (see our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy)
- Introduce malware, viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code into the service
- Attempt to intercept or interfere with communications between Mail-Organiser and Microsoft's Graph API
- Attempt to manipulate the AI classification system through prompt injection or adversarial inputs embedded in emails you send or receive
3.3 Abuse of Service
You must not:
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service beyond normal use patterns, or in ways that impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent scan quotas by any means
- Share subscription access with users outside your plan's mailbox limit
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the service without our written permission
- Use the service to compete with us by building a substantially similar product, or access the service for competitive intelligence purposes
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the service
- Systematically download or scrape data from the service
3.4 Privacy Violations
You must not:
- Use Mail-Organiser to access, classify, or organise emails belonging to individuals whose consent you do not have and whose accounts you are not authorised to manage
- Aggregate or use classification data to build profiles of third parties
- Use the service in ways that violate UK GDPR or other applicable data protection laws
3.5 Content Standards for MO Chat
When using MO Chat, you must not:
- Attempt to "jailbreak" the AI assistant or prompt it to act outside its intended purpose
- Use the chat feature to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
- Attempt to extract system prompts, internal instructions, or confidential information about our AI implementation
- Use the chat feature to generate disinformation, spam, or misleading content
4. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
- Ensure that any team members added to your organisation plan comply with this AUP
- Notify us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised

If you violate this AUP, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice where circumstances warrant immediate action:
- Suspend or terminate your access to the service
- Cancel your subscription without refund
- Report the activity to relevant authorities
- Seek damages or other legal remedies
Where a violation is minor and appears unintentional, we will typically contact you first to resolve the issue before taking action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
